Mahindra & Mahindra Increase Vehicle Prices  

Just as the cost of various commodities has risen all throughout India, automobile major Mahindra & Mahindra has increased their vehicle prices to nearly about Rs 15,000.Mahindra and Mahindra President (Automotive and Farm Sectors) Pawan Goenka said, "We have hiked prices last week by 1.5 to 2 per cent on all our vehicles due to higher commodity costs.” The hikes can vary as according to the model and specifications. Thus, it will come in between Rs 7,000 to about Rs 15,000. As of now, they are selling their utility vehicles like Bolero and Scorpio, with other 3-wheeler commercial vehicles. To make inroads in all other motor markets, they are also selling the sedan Logan.Mahindra & Mahindra had earlier increased the prices, and this comes as the 2nd price increase made in 2011. They had previously raised vehicle cost by 1.5 per cent, and this sudden hike was viewed neagtively by customers and as a result, by the dealers also.
