About Norman Percevel Rockwell:
Norman Percevel Rockwell February 3, 1894 was a 20th-century American painter and illustrator. His works enjoy a broad popular appeal in the United States, where Rockwell is most famous for the cover illustrations of everyday life scenarios he created for The Saturday Evening Post magazine over more than four decades.
He is also noted for his work for the Boy Scouts of America (BSA); producing covers for their publication Boys’ Life, calendars, and other illustrations.
Rockwell paintings in Huntington! The Huntington Museum of Art exhibition will be open to the public until February 21, reports MarshallParthenon.com.
The exhibit opened Jan. 23 with a private reception honoring the Boy Scouts for their dedication and willingness to help the museum.The gallery will display original paintings by Norman Rockwell and Joseph Csatari, on loan from the National Scouting Museum in Irving, Texas.
Rockwell was an artist famous for his works such as the Saturday Evening Post and his advertisements such as Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company and Sun-Maid Raisins, according to a news release from the Huntington Museum of Art.
