Call spoofing by blind teenager, ends up 11 years in prison  

A 19 year old teenager from Revere, Mass., was sentenced to 11 years in prison for call spoofing. The teenager used to hack the Verizon network and faked the 911 calls. He made the calls appear from the victims house by spoofing the call. report says that the teenager was a part of sophisticated hacker group who did "swatting calls".

The teenager, Weigman has said to be involved in telelphone hacking since the age of fourteen.

Previously back in June 2006, a swatter, Guadalpue Martinez simililarl swapped the calls can amde it appear from Alvarado, Texas. And told that he was holding hostages and has killed family members with AK-47.
He was sentenced 30 months in prison.

This kind of swatting calls interferes with the emergency services like police and ambulance. Service personnel are fooled into these fake calls.
