• Proposed Budget for 2009-10 Rs 40,745 cr.

• Passengers high on priority list.
• Upgrade for 50 stations to world class standards.
• "Only ladies" special trains for Kolkata, Delhi and Chennai suburban
• Now railway tickets to through post offices and 'mushkil aasaan' mobile vans
• and slew of other measures and introduction of new services
