Indian Revenue Service, which is one of the premier Union Civil Services of India. The portal had a modest beginning in 2003 when the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) introduced it with the limited idea of providing web based facility for creating and updating service profiles of IRS officers in real time.
