Where can you get information about DSC-2008 examination?
There are 52,655 posts in government, panchayat raj, tribal and municipal schools in the State.
The written tests will be conducted on April 11, 12 and 13, and the results declared on May 15.

The upper age limit for general category candidates will be 39 and a 5-year additional age relaxation has been given to SC, ST and BC candidates.
The upper age limit for physically challenged candidates is 49.
Unlike in the past, the State Government has decided this time to test the candidate’s proficiency in English language for appointment as school assistants, secondary-grade teachers and language pandits as part of the written examination.
School assistants will have English questions carrying 20 marks with syllabus up to Intermediate, while 15 marks will be awarded for secondary grade teachers and 10 marks for language pandits for answering English questions from SSC syllabus.
There will be no changes in the remaining subjects or syllabus pattern.
No cut-off marks have been fixed and selections will be taken up on merit basis.
In all, there are 54,063 vacant posts, of which 1,918 have been kept pending due to legal disputes. The vacant posts of 12,252 school assistants, 30,558 secondary-grade teachers, 7,018 language pandits, 2,789 physical education teachers and 38 school assistants in special schools will be filled through DSC-2008.
Forms would be sold at post offices and e- Seva centres from Dec 15 to Jan 15 and the last date for receipt of applications will be Jan 16.
