Rain disrupts train services

Due to heavy rainfall in Thane, Bhandup and Matunga, train services on the main line of Central Railway were disrupted on Saturday. According to railway sources, trains were running late by 25 to 30 minutes. As many as 35 train services have been cancelled due to heavy downpour. Around 84.6 mm rain was recorded in Thane, Mulund and Bandup between 9 am and 11 am On Saturday. When contacted, S Mudgerikar, chief public relations officer, Central Railway, said, "In Nahur and Mulund, the fast railway track was waterlogged. There was heavy rain till 1.45 pm on Saturday.
