Rains continue to lash Mumbai
Heavy rains continued to lash Mumbai city and suburbs for the third consecutive day today.
The rains, however, did not disrupt normal life with suburban trains plying on schedule with 10-15 minutes delay in the morning. The rush hours saw no disruption of rail and road traffic.
The city and suburbs recorded 73.3 mm and 76.2 mm of rainfall respectively till 8.30 am, the weather bureau said.
The showers subsided as the day progressed with 5.8 mm of rain in city and 6.2 mm in the suburbs was recorded from 8.30 am till 11.30 am.
More spells of thundershowers and rain with possibility of heavy rains in some areas is expected in the next 24 hours.
The maximum temperature will be at 27 degree celcius and minimum temperature at 23 degree celsius, the weather bureau said.
