The health condition of Puttaparthi Sathya Sai Baba is critical and the treatment is going on in Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences Hospital in Puttaparthi, Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. Sathya Sai Baba, also known as Godman and avatar for his devotees, hospitalized on 28 March 2011 due to kidney failure. The 85-year old Baba has been on ventilator and getting treatment as he is also suffering from Pneumonia and other respiratory problems.
