PSLV launch 2011 has reaffirmed the tag of the workhorse after the successful completion of the 17th mission of the launch of India’s polar satellite meant for remote sensing. PSLV C16 carried along two nano satellites after the launch is definitely a pointer to the fact that India is rising in the global market with multi-billion dollar holding in the industry. It was on the 20th of September, 1993 that PSLV-D1 faced failure but from that time it’s always been successful as a launch stage vehicle. After 1994 Thiruvananthapuram’s Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre was designed and developed to act as a launch pad for a total of 44 satellites out of which 25 satellites are from abroad.
