Punjab State Lottery Lohri Bumper Result

Punjab State New Year Lohri Bumper 2010 draw was held on 15/01/2010. New Year Lohri Bumper Lottery Result has been published on the Punjab State Lottery website.

First Prize worth Rs. 1,00,00,000 has been given to A-248320 and B-561925 and Consolation Prize of Rs. 1,00,000 has also been given to two Person whose lottery ticket number are B-248320 and A-561925.

Second Prize is of Rs. 5,00,000 which will be given to 10 people and third Prize
of Rs. 2,00,000 will also be given to 10 people. Fourth Prize is Rs. 50,000.

Fifth Prize (Rs. 5,000) (1000) , Sixth Prize (Rs. 5,00) (2000) and Seventh Prize (Rs. 1,00) (200000).

Directorate of Punjab State Lotteries came into existence in the year 1968 as a wing of the Finance Department with a view to curbing illegal activities of satta, matka etc and to organize lotteries at regular intervals, so as to mobilize resources for the State Exchequer.

The Government of Punjab runs its lotteries strictly as per the provisions of the Lotteries (Regulation) Act 1998. Under Section 12 of the Act, the department had framed its Rules i.e. Punjab State Lotteries Rules 1998.

Punjab offers to sponsor hockey team

The Punjab government Tuesday offered to sponsor the Indian hockey team for the World Cup tournament in New Delhi next month.
Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, who is also president of Hockey Punjab, made the offer if the sports ministry gave the responsibility to Punjab.

Commenting on demands for more money by Indian hockey players, Badal said: “It is unfortunate that a game that brought India its first medal in the Olympic Games has to suffer this treatment. Punjab has been a nursery of hockey and would like India to regain its lost glory in this game.”

He said that if Punjab was given the responsibility to sponsor the hockey team, the state would organise conditioning camps in the state.

Talks between Indian hockey players, who have been on strike at the national conditioning camp in Pune, and Hockey India officials failed once again Tuesday.
