K.V. Kamath to head Infosys

K.V. Kamath was Saturday named as the next chairman of the IT bellwether Infosys, succeeding N.R. Narayana Murthy.Murthy said that Kamath will take over from Aug 11. Murthy's term ends the same day.Kamath is the non-executive chairman of the board of directors of ICICI Bank, India's second largest bank.According to the ICICI website, Kamath has a degree in mechanical engineering and did his MBA at the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad. He started his career in 1971 at ICICI. In 1988, he moved to the Asian Development Bank.

Commercial tax preparers taking advantage of customers

A group that helps low-income families said an undercover review of 13 commercial tax preparers found problems with all of them.People who take their taxes to be prepared don't expect to be ripped off. But that's what's happening, according to Impact Alabama.The group found significant fraud and negligence among 13 unlicensed seasonal commercial tax preparers across Alabama. Some commercial tax companies are charging high fees and making costly miscalculations with their clients' money."They don't care about betraying the parent, they don't care about setting this taxpayer up later in the year for an audit to penalized," Black said.State Rep. Laura Hall said she's fighting tax preparers who abuse their customers.

The film is a promising entertainer and at many occasions will make you chortle and bawl. Though “Shor In the City” has un eccentric story line, it doesn’t fall short to astound film goers.The casts in the film like Radhika Apte, Preeti Desai, Girija, Tusshar, Sendhil, Nikhil, Pitobash and Sundeep, excel by playing their role luminously in the film. Amit Mistry acting adds another plus factor and noteworthy to the movie. Zakir Hussain played his part splendidly.
