Sony Pictures' movies receives 17 Academy Award nominations

Movies made or distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. and its subsidiaries bagged a whopping 17 nominations in the recently announced 83rd Oscar award nominations. The movie that brought Sony the highest number of nominations this year is The Social Network, which won 8 nominations under various categories.
