Bhagat Singh remembered
Rich tributes were paid to great son of India Bhagat Singh on the eve of his martyrdom by garlanding his portrait. Many people paid tributes on the occasion and remembered the sacrifices of this valiant son of India.
Speaking on the occasion, Atul Khanna, state president of National Youth Revolutionary Front asserted that Bhagat Singh dreamt of an ideal land where every body would be equal and nobody would be able to exploit others.
He also reminded that Bhagat Singh met the famous revolutionary Ganesh Shankar Vidhyarthi at Kanpur. At that time, Vidhyarthi was preaching the cause of nationalism among the people through his prolific and fiery writing. Bhagat Singh was so much impressed by his thoughts that he joined him at Kanpur and began to regulate the revolutionary activities from the city itself. However, due to illness of his grandmother he had to return.
Conducting the meeting, Sunil Verma said that people opposing revolution always said that it meant murder, pistols and bombs but the true concept of revolution was to bring a perceptible change in the economic and political structure of the society in which every body was equal and there was no exploitation.
