Securities And Exchange Board Of India (SEBI) Appoints UK Sinha As New Chairman

Association of Mutual Funds in India chairman U K Sinha will take over the post of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairman.
Sinha will take up the responsibility from February 17, 2011 after the term of the current chairman C B Bhave ends. Bhave was appointed as the chairman of SEBI on February 18, 2008.
Sinha is an ex- Bihar cadre IAS officer of 1976 batch. He was later appointed as the Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
